I think the hardest part of the process of getting a new pup is the research. After lots of web browsing and speaking to a few people I was recommended to FaustHouse. From there the application process was seamless. The link to the application is on the website. It took me maybe 15-20 minutes to answer all the questions. Soon after, I received an email confirming and a day or so after that I was called by Anna. We had a lovely chat at the end of which she told me I had been approved for a puppy. Anna was very thorough in explaining the process and setting up expectations of the cycles and wait periods. I had applied in early fall of 2022 and by spring 2023 I had my new bundle of furry happiness.

When I had to put my little 14 year old Maltepoo down last year, I was not sure I wanted another dog. After a few months, my daughter came to me and said, “Mom, you need to get a puppy, and you should get a Havanese”. It was the ﬁrst time I had heard of the breed, so I did some research. I liked everything I read about the Havanese, and they were the cutest puppies I had ever seen.

I found several breeders in my area, but they could not compare to FaustHouse. From the ﬁrst time I talked to Anna, I knew how loving, caring and professional she was. I made the decision that I didn’t care how long I had to wait, I wanted to get my puppy from Anna. I ﬁlled out the application and went on her waiting list.

To my surprise and delight, Anna called me a few months later and said she had a puppy for me! I was over the moon excited. I read every word on her website, which is very comprehensive and helpful. I loved the webcam. I was content to just watch the puppies sleep. I wanted to be the best Havanese “mommy” ever, so I had lots of questions for Anna. She always answered me patiently and promptly.

The week after Easter 2023, my daughter, my daughter-in-law and I drove to Greensboro to pick up my little “Emmy”. Anna was ready for us with a packet containing her vital information, shot record, etc. as well as puppy food and toys for us to take with us. My little angel made the entire four hour trip sleeping on my lap.

Emmy is six months old now and has the sweetest temperament of any dog I have ever had. She loves everybody, and everybody loves her. She has just the right balance between conﬁdence and independence, and wanting to please and cuddle. There is not a day that goes by that she doesn’t make me laugh. I believe all this goes back to careful and competent breeding. Anna is simply the best at what she does.

I would tell anyone who is considering a Havanese puppy, you will not regret choosing this breed. And, the second thing I would tell them is, you will not ﬁnd a better breeder than Anna at FaustHouse. I would not even consider going anywhere else.

When I began my search to find a new addition to the family, I knew I wanted a Havanese, and I knew I wanted an AKC breeder. I had no idea that I’d get lucky enough to find not only the sweetest little Havanese ever, but the best partner in selecting my new girl, Anna and the family at FaustHouse Havanese.

Anna isn’t just a “breeder” and it shows in almost every step in the process, starting with the interview and application process. She vets potential parents as thoroughly as possible to ensure that her puppies are going to a home that is designed and prepared for a Havanese. Throughout the process, her follow-up is amazing, and she really listens to what you are looking for. I was on the waitlist for a year before my perfect girl was born. Throughout the year Anna always kept me updated with other litters and the health of the Mommies so I knew when the time came, my girl would be coming from the best possible home.

The home visit/puppy selection at 5 weeks was immeasurably beneficial to watch their individual personalities to make sure you’re getting the perfect fit. I would NEVER buy from a breeder that doesn’t allow a home visit and you shouldn’t either.

When my girl came home at 9 weeks, you could tell that she had been loved and handled a lot! She took to handling, petting, grooming, bathing, leash walking, potty training, eating, bedtime and scheduling like an absolute champion. None of that would have been possible without all the love, care and training that Anna and the FaustHouse team put into each and every puppy.

My little girl is almost 6 months old, and I still contact Anna regularly with all sorts of puppy development questions and concerns and Anna is always quick to respond with sound advice, proving that she isn’t in it just to breed puppies, but to actually ensure that the breed thrives through careful breeding, owner vetting and support.

I’ve been so absolutely thrilled with my girl that I will be adding a second to the family after we get through puppyhood. I would never consider any another breeder than Anna and the FaustHouse family. They are top notch in every single step of the process!

We are so grateful to Anna and FaustHouse Havanese for bringing us together with our beloved little Loki! After carefully researching breeders in my home state of Florida, we decided to work with Anna Faust, despite having to travel via plane, because of her credentials, experience and most importantly, her caring nature towards her dogs and the families she works with.

The entire experience during the adoption process from filling out the application to the first visit and then picking up our puppy was easy and seamless. Anna is very thorough with explaining the process from start to finish, and the puppy packet is extremely helpful with the advice and tips it offers. She’s also always been available to us for any questions after we brought our puppy home.

It’s been almost two years since Loki’s “Gotcha Day”, and we are now starting to look forward to bringing home a new FaustHouse Havanese to join our family to give Loki a little sibling!

Our female, Dollie, has lived up to every expectation since we picked her up in September 2022! She reflects so many of the breed attributes described for the Havanese. We lost our [first] beloved Havanese in August 2021. By the following summer, we were ready to adopt a new puppy. We knew we wanted another Havanese, and began our search on the AKC website, and that is where we first learned about FaustHouse Havanese.

I contacted a handful of recommended kennels found through the AKC website. It was clear from the very beginning that FaustHouse was a step or two above the others. Anna and Karen were very responsive, and we were impressed by their thorough vetting and application process. Once we were approved as new puppy parents, they demonstrated great follow-up and excellent communication.

We loved the live webcam experience to watch our new puppy and his siblings develop into thriving and happy puppies. It was apparent from the beginning that Anna and Karen treat their dogs as family members and feel the same love for the breed as we do. By the time we arrived to pick up our puppy, Roby, we knew we had chosen wisely.

Roby is now almost eleven months, and is one of the happiest, friendliest, and all-around good-natured dogs we have ever met. He is also almost a perfect example of the breed standard, and the perfect companion for us. He has quickly become a much-loved family member, as well as one of the most popular dogs in a neighborhood full of great dogs.

We are very grateful to Anna and Karen for being such wonderful proponents of the Havanese breed, and for their dedication and hard work in bringing wonderful, healthy, happy puppies into the lives of their new families. We highly recommend FaustHouse and couldn’t be happier with our Roby.

Vehemently opposed to any puppy mill-like or other irresponsible breeding, I sought to find a reputable breeder that demonstrated a commitment to the breed as well as provide the best for her breeding stock. All FaustHouse dogs live in the house and fully integrated into home activities. Their well-being is always priority number one. After all, how could I responsibly get a puppy and not care how that puppy was produced? Through FaustHouse website, I was able to carefully research the results of all performed health tests to make an informed decision about my puppy. I also loved that I could watch the exciting development of the puppies via web cam. As a repeat buyer, I am now the proud owner of two beautiful and happy FaustHouse Havanese in which my husband and I could not imagine ours lives without. With many years dedicated exclusively to Havanese, Anna has gained a wealth of knowledge and loves to share with her puppy parents to ensure the best for them. I am so glad I found FaustHouse.

In the spring of 2021, we decided it was the right time to begin our search for a puppy to add to our family. COVID was starting to subside (or so we thought) and we were ready to re-enter society full force as retired people with a new puppy to train and love! I started my research and almost immediately found FaustHouse Havanese. I studied the website, which is an awesome resource for learning about the Havanese breed and how to take care of them from people who know what they are doing.

We watched the puppy cam often and fell in love with the cute little Havanese puppies! Wade has numerous short puppy videos on YouTube that we enjoyed viewing. He gave us the idea to try agility with our future puppy. We were excited to find out about the planned litters and completed an application. Once we were approved, I met Anna and actually also met her beautiful Havanese moms to be and Max, who turned out to be Rocky’s dad. Anna, Karen, and Wade were wonderful to work with throughout the process. After the litters were born, we watched the puppies grow up on “puppy TV” and saw how much love and attention that Anna, Karen, and Wade poured over all those little puppies! It was exciting to know that one of those cuties would be coming to our home! At six weeks we visited the puppies and Rocky picked us. Anna is very good at matching the puppy with the correct family. We brought him home in September. He has been a healthy, fun, energetic, smart, and loving addition to our family for the last four months. He will be six months old in a few weeks and is doing well in puppy obedience classes. We couldn’t be happier with our decision and highly recommend Anna, Karen, and Wade at FaustHouse Havanese for your next canine family member.

The Potter Pack

We feel very fortunate to have two Fausthouse Havanese. Anna is very thorough in screening perspective dog parents, including checking their references. She wants to ensure that any new dog parent is going to treat her dogs as well as she does – which is a tall order. It is obvious that the well-being of the dogs is her highest priority. We got our first Havanese, Rocky, from Anna when he was 8 months old. There was no doubt that he had been treated as a member of her family and that they shared a very close bond. After the tears were shed, we brought him home and he got along great with our Cavalier who was older and had a failing heart. I suspect that our older dog lived longer because of having Rocky as his packmate.

When our Cavalier passed away, we let Anna know and it wasn’t long before a litter was born. It was terrific to watch the pups in the litter grow and interact from day 1 on the Fausthouse “puppy cam”. There was lots of socialization and mental stimulation for the puppies. As a result, they are very well adjusted. We brought our second Fausthouse Havanese, Havers, home when he was 10 weeks old. He made the adjustment to our house very easily. Rocky and Havers are a joy to have with us. They are bright, inquisitive, and funny. They play together daily and curl up to sleep together each night. They travel well and go on vacations with us. It is impossible not to love them and their antics. We are grateful to Anna, Karen, and Wade for giving these two delightful pups a great start in life and then handing them off to us. We can easily recommend Fausthouse Havanese to anyone.
