After losing my 13-year-old Havanese, the time had come to begin my search for another Havanese. I was looking for a respectable breeder who was fastidious in maintaining the standards and quality of the breed. I narrowed my search to three and selected Anna, along with Wade and Karen, who came highly recommended from other FaustHouse Havanese owners. Being in NJ, I loved being able to watch the pups grow and socialize with one another via the webcam. Anna is very experienced and has a comprehensive website that shares a ton of information about the Havanese and ownership. I am now the delighted owner of Elliot. He’s a sweet, smart, beautiful little boy. The entire process was fantastic! A special shout out to Wade and Karen who assist with the socialization and send you home with a beautiful handmade blanket that represents the litter theme. I highly recommend FaustHouse Havanese.

After the loss of our previous dog, we knew we wanted to add a puppy to our family. We began our search for a breeder on the AKC website where we found FaustHouse Havanese. We loved the website and all of the info and visibility it provided with educational materials and the live puppy webcam. We heard from Anna quickly after submitting our application and after she spoke with our references we were added to the waitlist! We were looking to get a puppy but when they had all been adopted, Anna let us know about Tootsie, a girl she had kept from a previous litter who was available for adoption. Anna filled us in on Tootsie and once she was spayed we drove to North Carolina from Pennsylvania to meet her and brought her home a week later!

We are beyond pleased with our Winnie (aka Tootsie) and getting her as a 6-month old puppy really worked out wonderfully. Anna had clearly put in effort to train Tootsie and she has been an absolute joy. She makes us smile all the time and she was instantly a perfect fit for us. Anna even took care of medical tasks like her spay and vaccinations before we brought her home, so we got to enjoy her company right away without having to worry about all of the puppy vet visits. We were also given a list of commands that Toostie had learned and were told what to expect from her as a puppy, which was very helpful. Anna also supported us while we tried to figure out the best way to make Winnie comfortable when we had to leave her alone at home.

We are beyond happy with our experience and our Winnie and if we ever decided to add another havanese to the family we would absolutely come back to FaustHouse!

My husband and I were in search of a new Havanese puppy after the loss of one of our babies, also a Havanese. We love this breed because all they want is to be with you and love you. I finally found FaustHouse Havanese and was surprised with all the care they take with allowing families to have one of their puppies.

We were able to see our puppy on the webcam 24/7 from the time she was born until we picked her up. These puppies are extremely well cared for and loved before released to their new family. We have had our new puppy, Pepper, since November 2023. We were worried about how 11-year-old Havanese, Candie, would handle this new addition to our family. It took a couple of weeks, but they are playing and enjoying each other now. Pepper was really close to being potty trained by the time we took her home and also socialized with people and other dogs. She is so smart, with a great personality and sweet we are truly in love with her.

Adopting an adult/mature dog from FaustHouse Havanese has been one of the best experiences in pet ownership that I’ve ever had. From start to finish it was clear that FaustHouse cared for the dogs they bred and wanted to make sure that they went to loving homes, no matter what age the dogs were. Adopting an adult dog was a blessing for our family as we were able to bypass the puppy stage. We may not have experienced every aspect of Ahsoka’s life, but we have full belief that Ahsoka was kept in a loving home as she transitioned so well to ours. Anna and Karen were amazing to work with to prepare us and Ahsoka for the transition and were quite responsive if we had a question about her care. It’s an obvious perk that she was already house trained and had some other training as well. The best part was receiving an adult dog that didn’t have trauma, abandonment, or other issues that other adult dogs may have had. Ahsoka has been an absolute gift to our family, and we couldn’t have imagined a better outcome in our journey to add a furry member to our family.

It’s been one year since we brought our puppy Rudy home from Anna and Karen. We can wholeheartedly say that our experience with FaustHouse Havanese, especially as first-time puppy parents, was nothing short of exceptional.

We had decided we wanted a Havanese puppy and found Anna through the Havanese club breeder directory. From the first time we spoke on the phone, it was clear that Anna was serious about setting her puppies and their future families up for success. Anna made sure that her puppy would be a good fit for our family and our lifestyle. Then, she patiently explained the ins-and-outs of raising a young puppy. We especially appreciated the fact that she did not sugarcoat the challenging bits and set realistic expectations from the beginning. Her shopping list gave us a fast-track to preparing our home for Rudy. Her detailed website became a resource we would rely on time-and-time again for puppy advice.

While we waited to bring Rudy home, we got to watch the live stream to see our puppy grow up every day with his litter mates. It was a unique chance to get to know Rudy before he was even ready to go home. It’s not something that many other breeders offer, and something we really appreciated. We could also clearly see the loving and caring that both Anna and Karen put into raising these puppies.

When Rudy finally came home, all of this made for a super smooth transition. He was even already crate trained and using pads! It’s now a year later – Rudy has been perfectly healthy and become an integral part of our family. By no means was the first year a cake walk, and we had lots of help from our vet, puppy kindergarten, YouTube, reddit, and so forth… but it all started with the foundation set by Anna and Karen for both Rudy and us as parents. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to adopt from FaustHouse Havanese, and we highly recommend them to anyone seeking a healthy, happy, and well-cared-for puppy.

If there’s anything that you would like for me to add or delete, please let me know! I cannot say enough good things about Faust House Havanese! Not a day goes by when we don’t talk about how grateful we are and how much we adore our Teddy. We lost our first Havanese in April of 2020, the thick of COVID. We were devastated. However, we’ve always known that we would never be without a Havanese, so we started looking for breeders and talking to friends. We were so lucky to find Faust House. Anna and Karen take great care to ensure that all of their puppies are impeccably cared for, and that each puppy is placed in a safe and loving home. They are loved from the time they’re born and socialized as soon as they are ready. When Teddy’s litter was born we were able to watch them on camera every day. Teddy is smart, healthy and a joy. We have several friends who’ve gotten their babies from Faust House. We enjoy socializing our dogs together. We love being a part of the Faust House family!

I had done months and months of research before deciding on FaustHouse as my Havanese breeder. No other breeder stood out like they did. Anna and her team are transparent, professional, and very knowledgeable. During the interview process, Anna made sure that I would be a good fit for one of her dogs, which I appreciated. I could tell that she cared deeply for her dogs and wasn’t in it to make a quick sale. Her dogs’ well-being came first. We were on the phone for about an hour and Anna patiently answered all my questions. Once I was approved, the whole adoption process was organized and seamless. I was most impressed with all the info on their website. Their puppy packets were so helpful! When I picked up Dudley in February 2023, I was given all his health records and a bag full of supplies like toys, food, potty pads, water bowls and treats. I mean, they thought of everything! Dudley knew I was a little nervous, so he had a lot of opinions about leaving with me. Anna met us at the airport and made sure both Dudley and I felt relaxed and secure before heading to the gate. When we arrived in San Francisco, Anna reached out to make sure we got in safely, even though it was late in the evening.

The last 8 months have been overwhelming, but in the best possible way! Dudley is the love of my life. He is goofy, outgoing, confident, and VERY smart. He is so sweet, and everyone loves him. I get compliments all the time on how well adjusted he is. Most importantly, he is healthy and happy! Thank you again for bringing Dudley into my life!

We adopted two mature dogs from Faust House Havanese and can attest to their good vitality, health and wonderful dispositions. Both Wilson, retired from show and stud, and Gabbie are happy, well-adjusted dogs with sweet dispositions. They love to please us and find funny ways to make us laugh with them! Wilson is a “play with me” kind of dog playing fetch perfectly, bringing the toy back to my lap every time and even putting his soft paw up so it doesn’t fall.

Gabbie was a rally dog, and at 13 years old she behaves like a much younger dog. Love to see the sweep of her coat when she leaps over the door threshold into the house. Both Wilson and Gabbie are cuddly, and while Wilson plays fetch, Gabbie loves to join me on the sofa to snuggle. What great traits! Play and cuddle!

My husband and I began our search for a puppy two years ago. Having recently retired, we wanted to enjoy the benefits of owning a pet. We had never owned a puppy before so we spent the first year researching various breeds before deciding that a Havanese would be the perfect fit. During this time, we prepared our home and interviewed several Havanese breeders that were referred to us through family and friends. Through the American Kennel Association, we met Anna Faust, a highly regarded breeder and owner of FaustHouse Havanese and someone who immediately inspired our confidence and trust.

Anna’s references were excellent. We met with Anna and her team several times after the pups were born. Her operation was always clean, organized, wholesome and friendly. The pups had plenty of room to move about and they were always alert, active and playful. We could see clearly that Anna and her team were fully committed to the safety, care and comfort of each pup and the moms that delivered them. We were especially pleased to learn that the placement process was well-defined and fair, specifically structured to ensure that each and every pup was placed into the hands of a loving family.

Anna’s experience and knowledge were especially helpful in selecting our new puppy.

From beginning to end, Anna and her team were quick to answer questions, offer encouragement, guidance and support. They encouraged open and frequent communication. We especially loved the daily and weekly video updates and live cam sessions that made us feel very connected to the birthing and weaning process. Long before we brought our puppy home, we had a glimpse into the daily activities of what to expect and some insight into the behavior and personality of the pup we had chosen.

At eight weeks, when the big day arrived, we were confident that we were getting a happy, healthy, playful and trusting pup to love forever. As an added bonus, Anna sent us home with a “survival kit” that included medical records, care instructions, a week’s supply of food, sample treats, toys and a blanket that got us off to a good start. We had already purchased everything else and had pre-planned a well-puppy visit with a reputable vet in our area.

As my husband and I continue to embrace our new role as “puppy parents”, we’re grateful for all the support, kindness and attention that we continue to receive. Anna takes a personal interest in the welfare of her pups and continues to solicit feedback on the progress we’re making. For these reasons, we highly recommend Anna Faust to anyone looking for a trusted advisor (and friend) in choosing the right pup at the right time for the right reasons.

It had been two years since we had to put down our beloved beagle of 18 years. We were ready for another companion but knew we could not get another beagle. Our dear friend had a Havanese that we fell in love with, so the breed was settled. We were certain we did not want a puppy. When we found FaustHouse Havanese, and they had an adult male, we knew it was our time.

I spoke with Anna and Karen about a possible adult they may have and was immediately impressed with their professionalism and discretion in placing their dogs. They have built up more than a clientele base, but rather a community with their placements. We met them one afternoon and immediately knew we were in the right place working with the right breeders. We instantly fell in love with Ezra.

We agreed to foster Ezra for several months until he completed his stud duties, and officially adopted him. Anna, Karen, and others in the FaustHouse community have been very helpful ever since. They truly care about all their dogs and are a great resource to us owners. We are blessed to have Ezra in our lives and to be a part of the FaustHouse Havanese community.

When I lost my two Lakeland Terriers within two weeks of one another, I was bereft. My two Havanese knew something was amiss, so I turned to Anna, in hopes that she had an adult who needed a new home. It turned out that she had a two-year-old boy who had just returned to her. When I met him, he had been totally shaved as his coat had been terribly matted and underweight. But I saw that he had the “Faust” temperament—one that is outgoing and friendly. The good thing is that hair grows, dogs adapt to new homes and new names. Armani came into my life and has added joy to my two Havanese bitches and myself.

Anna’s influence on Armani during the two months she fostered him made all the difference in the world. Today, I have an outstanding boy who loves to eat, to romp and play, and greets each guest at his front door as a long-lost friend. This adoption has been a joyous experience.

I had been a terrier owner for my entire adult life but felt I needed a different breed in my older years. I also preferred an adult dog rather than a puppy. I started researching Havanese breeders and found Anna located very near my new home. I contacted her via the web form on her website and she called me shortly after the inquiry. We had a wonderful conversation that evening, which was the start of what I consider a treasured friendship.

I met Maxwell a few days later and it was love at first sight for me! I agreed to be his guardian as he completed his duties as a breeding male and, after a few months, I officially adopted him. It has been a wonderful journey thus far. He’s a great companion and brought with him membership for me in a local Havanese community of truly great folks. Both Anna and Karen are highly professional with excellent knowledge and experience to share. They care about their dogs and take great care to ensure both puppies and adult dogs are placed in the best situation possible. I’m very thankful to have stumbled into their world!

I met Anna via phone several years ago when she called me as a referral for a friend of mine who was interested in adding a Havanese puppy to her family. I spoke with Anna for close to thirty minutes and was immediately impressed with her caring and particularly in her discretion in placing puppies with their new families. After that call, I knew our next Havanese puppy (we had two Havanese at the time) would come from FaustHouse Havanese.

We brought Carlos into our lives in 2021 and he has been the healthiest, most secure and wonderful dog we have ever had. We had the opportunity to watch him online as he grew and played with his litter-mates. Anna provided us excellent instructions in terms of nutrition, toys and care. We love the breed, having had two wonderful Havanese pups in the past. We love the activeness of the breed, their social and affectionate personality and their intelligence.

We will work with Anna to get a companion for Carlos in the next two (2) years and would not think of working with anyone else. With any breed, there are “production breeders” out there who handle multiple litters a year and do very little due diligence in placing pets with their Owners. We have talked to some of those breeders. Anna is the opposite of that.

The puppy that came home with us was very solid mentally, not skittish and highly affectionate. He immediately bonded with our existing Havanese dog who was still grieving the loss of his companion a year prior to bringing Carlos home. We can not say enough positive things about FaustHouse Havanese. Our newer family member has brought us remarkable joy and companionship.
